Este artigo tem como objetivo principal evidenciar as relações que a literatura e a crítica de Silviano Santiago mantém entre si, e como ambas se relacionam com a vida e as experiências do autor, tornando-as manifestações de uma escrita de si. A partir das teorias de Julia Kristeva, Gerárd Genette e Serge Doubrovsky, indicaremos três personae possíveis na pessoa de Silviano Santiago que se somam para criar um único projeto literário-crítico: o Silviano-escritor e o Silviano-crítico que nascem das experiências do Silviano-homem, dando origem a uma obra que possui como suportes os gêneros prosa, ensaio e autoficção que dialogam entre si, criando uma crítica semelhante àquela feita por Mário de Andrade e outros escritores-críticos.

This article aims to evince the relations developed between Silviano Santiago's literature and literary criticism, and how them both relate to his life and experiences, making them into a manifestation of a self writing. Based on the theories of Julia Kristeva, Gerárd Genette and Serge Dubrovsky, it will indicates three potential personae of the author that sum up in order to create a unique literary and critic project: the Silviano-writer and the Silviano-critic which arise out of the experiences originated from the Silviano-man, generating a literary work that is based on the literary prose, literary essay and self fiction, the three of them dialoguing with each other, developing a criticism similar to the one carried out by Mário de Andrade and others literary critics-writers.
