This article examines the fictional representation of political practices in Latin America in the novel O senhor embaixador, by Erico Verissimo. From the actions and thoughts of journalist-character William B. Godkin, I try to understand how the narrative deals with issues like censorship and revolution in a land full of hate and revenge.
